We can't wait for Mr. Potato Head to come back to Beaufort. Other than the Bride and Groom, Mr. Potato Head was the best part of the evening. No one wanted to stop dancing which began as soon as the music started and didn't stop until the wedding planner wouldn't let them play anymore. The music selection was perfect fo the evening. We appreciated their professionalism and energy. We were excited at the addition of a female vocalist which was the topping on the cake.

WOW! What a performance! Just celebrated our 3rd daughter's wedding 3 days ago and I still can't find the words to properly describe what an outstanding performance Mr. Potato Head put on. It is no exaggeration to say that the dance floor was filled the entire night. Our guests (age range 14 to 84) were even dancing between tables. From Sinatra to Bruce Springsteen, with Al Green, David Bowie and Randy Newman (and many more) thrown in, these guys NAILED IT. On top of it all they were very easy to work with and so accommodating. Hire this band! Do not waste another second going back and forth, thinking about whether or not they're worth it or if you should just go with the DJ. HIRE THEM! They played a great mix of easy listening tunes during dinner and then got the dance floor moving, all night long. Guests continually complimented this band, whether they were getting a drink at the bar or texting us the next day. And my favorite part, as a stressed bride who was just over making decisions? I DIDN'T HAVE TO THINK ABOUT ANYTHING. Once we picked our songs to walk into and share our first dance, that was it! The band did the rest and it. Was. Great. Do it and thank me later!

When my daughter and her fiancé started planning their wedding the most important aspect of it was the music. They chose Mr. Potato Head after listening to MANY bands on line and hearing many friends recommendations. They were absolutely amazing. I don't remember going to a wedding where the dance floor was always full. We had to move tables to enlarge the dance floor! The music appealed to the entire crowd . If you want the best band around for an event at a reasonable price, this is the one! FANTASTIC. Fun, interactive, accommodating... and extremely talented! Opened with a second line, played all the classic favorites, but also nailed the more obscure songs that a music buff appreciates. That's what we had heard - so the groom hired them on the spot, ha! - but they totally surpassed every expectation. MPH set the tone, kept that vibe going until the very end and left everyone impressed. I think every guest - and vendor! - has asked us about them since. I can't tell you how many guests have told me that the band was incredible. They were fun and easy to work with, and set the tone for the evening. The only way we could be more pleased is if we weren't pulled in so many directions during the reception and could have given more attention to enjoying the music!

Through out the whole process the booking agency was helpful in assisting us in finding the right band for our debutante party, and afterward the band members of MPH were so accommodating. The party was made because MPH brought in fresh, different music vibe and totally fun time. They are clearly talented musicians and have a vast range, playing more contemporary hits to the classic party fare. I asked them to learn a Hootie and the Blowfish song and they sounded exactly like the original artist. I cannot recommend this band strongly enough. No crowd will be disappointed. We were so happy we had them for our party.

Doug and Mr. Potato Head were FANTASTIC. The only people who were not dancing were the sick, the lame and the infirmed. One of our guests in his late 70s who walks with a cane, chucked his cane at his table and was twirling around several women. We had a fair number of guests, both men and women, come stag, and they were mixing and dancing with everyone. The vibe was so amazing, there were no strangers in the entire room. The band was playing requests from the audience, songs for our NOLA guests (“Big Chief,” “When the Saints come Marching In” where the trombone player came down on the dance floor and we did a second line with handkerchiefs waving.) It was the best party I’ve ever been to! How cool is that? I had a really nice visit with Doug, Bobby and Morgan at the end of the night and I think they had as much fun as the audience. The guests came primed to dance (thanks to really clever invites by my artist friend) and the energy from the guests fed the band, and vice versa. It was a upward spiraling party vortex! Super fun! I wish we had the means and the occasions to do this every year!! So much fun and Doug and his group made the evening. We had (and I’m still getting) a zillion compliments on the band. They were over the top. One of my good friends (who was having SO MUCH FUN) texted me the next morning and said, “It’s official. Chris and I are quitting our day jobs and becoming Mr. Potato Head roadies. We’ll be the Tater Tots!” Ha ha. Can’t thank you enough, Barry, for your help in facilitating this awesome band. For a band who will keep everyone on the dance floor LITERALLY the entire night, look no further than Mr. Potato Head - they ROCKED, even when my brother and I insisted we rap "remix to ignition" (poorly) together on stage, instead of just playing during their break, they insisted on backing us up. Mr. Potato Head is fantastic as you know. Did intros and dinner set 630 to 8 and then 830ish-1030ish rocked the last two hours of dance music. Very professional and just a lot of fun. They were AWESOME!!! They crushed the mother-son song by the Jackson 5 and hit notes that I only thought baby Michael could hit! Many of my friends had DJs at their wedding and although I knew we wanted a band, I was getting nervous the week leading up that people wouldn't dance. Mr. Potato Head kept the dance floor popping!! Mr. Potato Head was absolutely INCREDIBLE at our wedding!!  The band was exactly what we were looking for and they went above and beyond at our reception.  Since you only get one shot at your wedding, we were nervous about picking the right band.  We wanted an upbeat, fun, energetic band that could play fun hits, along with motown, classic rock, etc., and they nailed every single song in a seamless playlist that got better with each new tune. Our guests were so impressed by their versatility and lively execution. One man in his early 60s had, and I quote, "the best night of his life" and chose to stand the entire dinner while air-drumming along to every song!  Standing alone.  Air drumming.  While his wife ate alone. Mr. Potato Head was everything we could have hoped for in our wedding band. They were easy to work with, both before and on the wedding day. I had wonderful phone conversations with Doug in the weeks leading up to the wedding to discuss our vision for the music and the day - he was so open to hearing my thoughts and also adding relevant, great suggestions. On the day of the wedding, I could really tell that the band had taken my vision into consideration, the music was exactly what we had wanted (a mix between oldies/beach music and more contemporary songs)! The people at The John Marshall Hotel said this was the wildest wedding they'd ever seen! We had Mr. Potato Head perform at our June wedding in Charlotte. I cannot stress enough how AMAZING they were. It was 95 degrees out, and they still had the entire wedding out on the dance floor for 2 hours. They only took one break for dinner, and didn't complain about the heat once. I had several people tell us how awesome they were and ask how to contact them for their own weddings/events.

I don't see how we could have made a better choice for a wedding band than Mr. Potato Head.  From the music you played during the dinner (people were coming up to me to tell me how awesome you were- the musicianship in the band is unparalleled ) to the nonstop dance party that ensued later, you guys had it all covered.  I can't tell you how many people have called, emailed, or texted me about how they just couldn't leave the dance floor. From Steely Dan to the Talking Heads, to Old Crow Medicine Show - you guys just nailed every song, no matter what the genre. Having my daughter, the bride, join you for a few songs made the night even more special. My only disappointment was that there were so many other songs on your playlist that I wanted to hear you do!  I guess I'll just have to find another excuse to get you up here again.

I am picky when it comes to music. I grew up in a musical family and music has always been a foundation in my life. That translates into: For our wedding day, I needed an incredible band that played the spectrum of genres (and played them well) and kept the energy high so people remained on the dance floor. I couldn't have asked for a better band than Mr. Potato Head!! They played such a broad spectrum of songs that all generations were on the floor dancing - From classical jazz to beach music to Motown and Funk to 80s alternative to Americana to modern (among others not mentioned). It's clear that MPH has played together for years. Their synchronicity with each other and their ability to work the crowd and keep the energy high made our wedding reception perfect - it was as good and better than what I had imagined for our wedding day. They are classy, willing to work closely with you to understand your musical tastes, and they are definitely not cheesy (as some bands can be). At the risk of sounding like a cheesy infomercial, if you are looking for the perfect band for your event, you will love MPH and so will your guests. The bride gets complimented on all sorts of things on her wedding day, but the most compliments I recieved were for picking such an amazing band. It's all about the music!

Mr. Potato Head performed at my daughter Carrie’s wedding this past Sunday. There were Perfect!!!MOORE weddings are always filled with special requests and surprises. Doug and the band gave us everything we needed and more. From learning several special songs he may or may not ever use again to performing the coolest hippest dinner set I have ever witnessed to closing the night with a non-stop 2 hour dance set, these guys couldn’t have been better.My daughter and her fiancé are on a plane to Australia and New Zealand for a 2 week honeymoon. I echo Michael's sentiments :) I have to be honest and say I had measured expectations for how this part of the evening would go, but Mr. Potato Head completely blew me away! I was just so happy to see every guest, from my seven year old cousins to my 89 year old grandparents having fun on the dance floor. And, am so glad you reached out so I can email you all!The band SURPASSED our expectations! Truly, from start to finish - Doug and I having our initial conversations about the music selections and flow of the evening - to the night of the wedding - it was absolutely perfect! They were a joy to work with, kept the party going with one friend taking off his tie and demanding an encore when they finished! (he was loving them!), and fulfilled all our wishes, including learning our first dance selection.You and JR were also a joy to work with! From the very beginning you were patient with me while I made decisions on who to choose and you were always upfront advice-wise and helpful til the end. When my now hubby and I were looking at bands to perform at our wedding, we knew what we wanted but weren't finding it. Then, we clicked on Mr. Potato Head. Aside from the amazing fact that Danny Ray - the man who introduced James Brown for 40 years is on their promo video (my hubby and I are HUGE fans) - they are such a tight band with an amazingly diverse and interesting song list. From the dinner hour to the first dances (they learned and played our Elvis song beautifully!), to the garter and bouquet toss and to the over 2 hours of continuous jamming, they had our guests on the dance floor all night! In fact, when they ended, one of our guests threw down his tie and demanded an encore! I've never seen that happen at any party much less a wedding. Doug was incredibly easy to work with and so patient - he took the time to discuss with me all the necessary details and gave great ideas and feedback. And, the night of the wedding, the entire band was kind, considerate, on time, and completely groovy! I would book this band again in a heartbeat and would recommend them to anyone. It's always been said to me that you remember the food and music at weddings - and I can tell you that it rings true, especially when it comes to Mr. Potato Head. Thank you guys!!!! You ROCK!

We searched through hundreds of bands to find Mr. Potato Head. I contacted every booking agent on the the booking agency that serviced Charlottesville. There were few bands if any that had close to their amazing singing voices and musicianship but none that came close to matching their versatility and song list (which is amazingly solid) covering the classics (like you have to for a wedding) but having plenty of out of the ordinary songs that allowed them to personalize the evening to our tastes.On the actual night we were all blown away. They really know how to work a crowd, and the dance floor was packed the entire night. Just as an example our photographer was suppose to leave at 9 but stuck around for 2 more hours, just to listen to them play. When their last set finished and I took the mic to say goodnight, our guests would have none of it, they wanted more Mr. Potato Head and despite the fact that they had a 3hr drive ahead of them they played a three song encore. It was amazing. Also they nailed our wedding song (and learned another song for the mother-son dance at no charge). I could go on, but who wants to read a long review, you can't go wrong with these guys!

You guys were, I dare say, the best wedding band of all time! While your promotional video doesn't nearly do you the justice that you deserve, we could tell upon first viewing that Mr. Potato Head would offer the kind of musical variety we were looking for. So many people have remarked that they couldn't remember the last wedding they attended in which everybody seemed to be having such a good time. From Al Green to Neil Diamond, from reggae to funk, we felt like the evening's entertainment had been tailor-fit to our particular musical tastes, and for that we?ll be forever appreciative. Though our praise may appear a bit over-the-top, the choice of a band for our wedding was one of the only decisions left completely up to us. And since we both love music and enjoy getting out on the dance floor, we knew that a very special band was not only necessary, but essential. I cannot begin to tell you how awesome Mr. Potato Head was!! We had compliments from the guests all night. To give you an example, the band played music during dinner and we had someone say they thought we were playing music over speakers. He could not believe it was a live band. My daughter and her fiance requested a new song for the first dance, "Swept Away" by the Avett Brothers. The bride and groom thought they sang it better than the original artists. Wow! Talk about a great night! Mr. Potato Head really made our event outstanding.  In fact guests are still talking about what a fun night it was.Not only are the musicians outstanding, the song repertoire is excellent. They can play many songs that other bands do not even dare to cover! The band knows how to get the crowd up and dancing and I think all 150 people in attendance at the American Society for Dermatologic Surgery Presidents' Dinner was on their feet having a blast. There were so many people dancing the staff had to move the tables back to make more room on the dance floor!Mr. Potato Head made the evening and I would give them my highest recommendation. You simply can't get a better band!
