MVP

The band was fantastic, and our membership absolutely loved them. They had the place grooving, lots of energy and played exactly to the crowd. A surprise big hit with the older folks was their instrumental of The Carpenters Close To You. Lots of dancing. Thank the band again for a spectacular evening. We would definitely book them again.

I have to say, the band was by far one of the most important things for both Daniel and myself. We wanted to make sure everyone danced and had a great time. MVP BLEW. US. AWAY. They were absolutely incredible--and many, many people have made multiple comments to us about how fantastic they were. I could have never asked for a more beautiful first dance. The fact that they included my grandfather is something so meaningful to me, I really can never thank them enough for that memory. My grandfather is 94 and said to me multiple times before the wedding, that this wedding was the reason he was staying alive. Being able to play with the band not only fulfilled my dreams but I'm pretty sure it fulfilled his as well, and all my family members. And the voices! It's not easy to fill Louis Armstrong's shoes, but it sounded incredible and I cannot wait to hear it again when we get our video back! The dance floor was packed the entire night. Torrance was awesome about keeping things moving and on track. We were running behind and he recognized that after dinner we should immediately start the horah--perfect move--got everyone up and dancing for the rest of the night. (They did one of the best horah's I've danced to as well!) They let us on stage to dance which honestly was one of my top three favorite memories of the entire weekend (the first being our marriage). :) Older people loved them, our friends loved them, even the 13 year old cousin of mine who found his way on the stage and stole the mic for a few songs loved them (which was one of the funniest things I've ever seen at a wedding). I hope the band enjoyed themselves because it was quite the party! I will 100% recommend MVP to any of our friends who are looking for a band. I'm hoping that I get to experience them again soon! Thank you so much for recommending them. I honestly would relive the wedding only to hear them again and dance...the rest was too stressful to ever want to repeat again. :) They made my wedding night. Because of them, I can honestly say it really was the best night of my life. Please pass this onto them! I really hope I'm able to hear them again!

I have to tell you how pleased I am with the excellent performance of MVP Band.They were professional and very entertaining.  The director Torrance Scott,  is so kind and considerate. He met every request I had and followed my  program to the letter. Doing that made my 30th Anniversary Party a day I'll never forget. My guests are still talking about what a great time they had. The dance floor was never empty and often overflowing. People who were not even there are telling me they heard what a great band we had! The guest kept asking "how did you find your band? It's wonderful!". MVP Band was prompt on arrival and met our building exit time. I could not have been more satisfied.

We had a mid-day, corporate employee event on our campus and were thrilled to have MVP perform. They were 100% professional as well as very talented and entertaining. They graciously accommodated our requests for specific songs and worked so closely with our event emcee it was as if they had worked together before. Many employees commented on how much they enjoyed the performance. That being said, corporate folks aren’t always willing to get into the spirit and, in fact, remained mostly on the sidelines listening to the music rather than participating. MVP didn’t get discouraged and kept their energy up to the end despite the seeming lack of support on the ‘dance floor.’ Thank you, MVP!

They took no breaks (other than dinner) which kept the party atmosphere.We requested and they played a lot of Motown and the like which was great. Were so great to work with throughout this entire process and made sure everything went smoothly. My husband and I just returned to the States from our honeymoon and I wanted to write to let you know how AWESOME MVP was at our wedding. Every guest we've spoken to has said it was one of the best weddings they've ever been to and I have to credit the band for most of that. I was nervous about the band at first because my husband wanted a DJ and had never heard the band before, but I had nothing to worry about. They brought the most positive energy to the event and were able to get everyone on the dance floor. I have a big family with lots of younger cousins and we've had a lot of family weddings recently. Most of my relatives don't dance at all at these weddings, but I saw almost all of them on the dance floor at our wedding- a huge accomplishment! My favorite thing about the band was that they seemed genuinely happy to be there. The female vocalist was amazing- one of my mom's friends comes from a very musical family (one of her kids is on Broadway) and she was so impressed with her vocals. The entire band was outstanding, professional, and so much fun. So, thank you for recommending MVP. Torrance, please pass this praise along to your bandmates as it is certainly well-deserved. They were somewhat higher that our usual budget, but following dance and since, everyone I raves about the band, saying it was AWESOME, best band ever, what excellent vocalists they had, very versatile, etc., so hopefully, that means it was worth it! (You always have to trade off something else, which either means food or alcohol.) Torrance was easy to work with and the other band members also were personable and pleasant! Several people got their cards and others have asked where we found them. I certainly would recommend them, and I suspect we will want them again!

We thoroughly enjoyed having MVP perform at the 2012 Bay Heart Ball! They played a soft jazz dinner set for us, then played a high energy post presentation dance set that everyone loved! The crowd stayed and the Chairs of the event loved the band. I would highly recommend them since they were so entertaining and also great to work with.
